Azure Data Foundation
Having data is one thing. Using it is another. The Azure Data Foundation brings your data where it creates impact: into decisions.
ERP here, CRM there, IoT data somewhere in between — and in the end every department builds its own Excel truth. The Azure Data Foundation turns data silos into a central, reliable data foundation. Built as a Data Lakehouse, 100% Infrastructure as Code, with clear governance from day one. We handle the complexity, you unlock the value.
You want to finally make meaningful use of your data — but where do you start?
Whether your data is still scattered across different systems, your existing system is reaching its limits, or you need a solid foundation for AI and data-driven decisions — these are the questions you know:
Databricks, Fabric, or both: what fits us?
It depends on how your teams work. Do you have technical specialists who code data pipelines and train AI models? Then Databricks is the right choice: a powerful platform for complex data processing and machine learning, with results visualised directly in Power BI. Are you starting more with BI and analytics teams or business users? Then Microsoft Fabric is the better entry point: a familiar interface, intuitive to use, quick results without coding skills, data governance with Microsoft Purview. And if you need both: our hybrid blueprint combines the strengths of both worlds. We help you decide — and you can switch at any time.
We have data in ten different systems. How do we bring it together?
With a proven three-layer model: in the first layer, all raw data from ERP, CRM, IoT sensors, or log files lands unchanged and complete. In the second layer it is cleaned, structured, and checked for quality. The third layer delivers ready-to-use metrics for your dashboards, reports, and AI applications. This creates a single, reliable data source for the entire organization. Data from your own data centers can also be connected securely.
Who ensures that not everyone can see everything?
The platform itself. It comes with a central data catalog that automatically documents what data exists, where it comes from, and who is allowed to access it. Sales only sees its own region, HR data stays with HR. Everyone in the organization can look up what data is available without immediately getting access to the content. Data privacy and access rights are not an afterthought — they are built in from the start.
Do we need our own data team for this?
Not necessarily at the beginning. Our Managed Service handles the technical operation of the platform: performance monitoring, updates, optimization, and cost management. Everything related to your business logic is your call — which metrics, which data sources, which reports. But we do not leave you on your own there either: we support you in building the data architecture, with the first analyses, and with specific use cases. On demand when you need it, not as a permanent project.
And when can we get started?
In weeks, not months. From the first conversation to a production-ready platform typically takes four to six weeks. You do not need a pre-project or six months of concept work. We start with what is there and build step by step. Five clearly defined phases ensure you always know where you stand and what comes next.

Data platform built — what now?
On 16 April we are hosting the Azure Day at Microsoft HQ Munich and will show how we solve exactly these challenges in real projects.
What makes the Azure Data Foundation
From theory to practice: our Head of Azure Florian and Cloud Architect David show in the webcast why the Data Lakehouse is replacing the classic Data Warehouse, which blueprint fits which team, and how to build a production-ready data platform in weeks rather than months.
