Discover how the partnership between Vorwerk and glueckkanja is redefining cloud technology. Through strategic automation, robust implementations, and effective security measures, Vorwerk's cloud environment has been optimized — delivering significant time and cost savings.
Background
In the fast-moving landscape of cloud technology, it's critical to partner with people who don't just meet today's requirements — they think ahead and plan for what's next. Vorwerk, a global powerhouse and IoT pioneer, faced a familiar challenge: keeping its cloud environment running effectively and securely as complexity scaled. The collaboration between Vorwerk and glueckkanja wasn't a shot in the dark. It grew out of prior experience and hard-earned trust. Vorwerk already knew glueckkanja's capabilities from the Modern Workplace space and their product RealmJoin, and was looking for an evolutionary leap in its cloud strategy.
Solution
glueckkanja guided Vorwerk through multiple phases — starting with building an Azure Landing Zone, running a Proof-of-Concept, and continuously evaluating that strategy all the way through to signing an Azure Managed Services contract. Every step was meticulously planned: glueckkanja laid the solid groundwork with the Azure Foundation and steered Vorwerk through the complex layers of cloud management. A Cloud Competence Center was established to systematically tackle security and compliance questions and to ensure effective organization and execution of cloud onboardings. At the heart of glueckkanja's solution: Infrastructure as Code. This implementation delivered a robust, future-proof solution that doesn't just support Vorwerk in its current IT landscape — it also opens the door to flexible collaboration with multiple service providers, all under a unified governance and security umbrella. In this setup, glueckkanja acts as a vigilant guardian, ensuring that all workloads are clearly segmented and optimally protected according to the principles of Least Privilege Access and Zero Trust. Conclusion & Outlook
The initial investment in the partnership with glueckkanja has proven extremely valuable. The collaboration delivered significant time and cost savings, and Vorwerk benefited from a deep well of experience and best practices — minimizing the risk of making the kind of mistakes that typically derail cloud projects.
Next up: migrating additional workloads. glueckkanja is working to build applications "stateless." Instead of simply deploying apps on virtual machines and installing them manually, the application infrastructure is carefully mapped out in templates and implemented via Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management. This approach goes well beyond the traditional "lift & shift" model, targeting a more efficient and adaptable solution.
The similar corporate cultures of Vorwerk and glueckkanja fostered open communication and knowledge transfer — laying the foundation for an effective, productive partnership.
